Drumtara Characters

   Irish Myth, the Pooka would come and destroy a farm, causing harm to animals and tearing down fences. On bad days Pookas would stand outside a farmhouse and then call people by their names. If the person came out the Pooka would take them away.  In the Story, Pooka is a beast sent from the underworld to destroy Thomas Roberts and Mary Jane

 Arawn is the Ancient Celtic God of the Dead and the King of the Underworld, This is the role he plays in the book, the keeper and collector of souls. He is deceitful and cunning. 

Nicopulas is a dark warlock, the last of the ancient, Die-a-naut. He plots to rule over Drumtara, destroying every creature that dares to stand in his path. 

The water creatures of Keel are friendly, However, Murrigan finds himself battling with one of the Serpents Of Keel, as he attempts to save the life of Thomas Roberts. 

Murrigan Sham is the loyal guardian of Thomas Roberts, a fierce warrior, who will never stop in his duty of a guardian. 

Moria Sham, like Murrigan, is determined to protect Thomas and Mary Jane. She full of magic and mischief.

This is the illustration of Mary Jane Roberts. first introduced in Chapter 1. The young widow at 19 years old, finds herself mothering a young baby she find in her barley field.
